Parliamentarians in Poland want to know why right from the beginning only the version of an accident was investigated and why the Polish government also excludes every other possibility. Read more:
Today, on the 13th of May 2010, I read again something about the plane crash on the 10th of April 2010 in Smolensk, in Russia, where the Polish president lost his life when the president's Tupolew crashed.
On Monday parliamentarians of the opposition in the Polish parliament called on the Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk in a letter to comment on the investigations of the joint Polish Russian commission. Information was for example requested to the legal grounds of the mixed board of inquiry and asked whether it was not possible to include international experts in the investigations. At the same time it was asked whether the Polish side was convinced that the Russians had really secured the "right proofs," as right from the beginning only the version of an accident was investigated and the Polish government also excludes every other possibility. The parliamentarians put 20 questions to the head of government Donald Tusk regarding inconsistencies in the investigations of the air crash.
So this action took place on Monday, one day after the Sunday demonstration, and it gives the impression as if this question of the opposition is a reaction to the demonstration of the day before in Warsaw and it had the purpose to let the opposition appear as if it was not inactive. One would have thought that it especially is the duty of the opposition to demand clearness from the government and to not first wait for the unrest of the public at large, particularly as the killed president came from their own ranks. As this now seems to have happened only of necessity the suspicion suggests itself that for the politicians of both countries, in Russia and in Poland, and in Poland on the side of the government and also on the side of the opposition, the at the moment strongly developing good relationships between the two countries are more important than the clearing up of the crash. And this again seems to confirm the presumption that this good relationship is sought consciously and that the occasion for it can also be found in the changed situation inside of Nato, which again is linked to the change of government in Washington - that the White House is less interested in the security of the Nato countries but mainly in the attainment of world dominance and that for this goal of world domination other aims and countries can definitely be sacrificed.
