For that reason do not pass the spring of life; seek the way to the spring of living water, and so you have found it, rest their and receive the divine gift of favour, so that you have not lived on earth in vain, so that you mature at your soul and reach your aim on earth. Read more:

Bread of charity. Godís word.

14. June 1952. B.D. NR. 5412.

Godís spring of favour is inexhaustible and is at the disposal of all of you, for he knows it, how urgently you men need it, how many favours have to be allotted to you so that you become strong enough for the work, which you have to do on earth, which is to change your soul. You cannot do it out of your own power; you must receive power supply from God, and since you yourselves do not acquire it for you, it is as it were a gift, which he offers you Ė to draw from the spring of his favour unmeasured. And no matter how ambitious and industrious man is, he is too weak of his own accord to set about a spiritual ascent development of his soul, and because of that the love of God takes pity, and it helps, where man threatens to fail. It gives him a generous measure of power of favour, which he just needs to make use of; which is certainly offered to him, but cannot become effective earlier, until man himself wants it, until he utilizes it according to divine will. In many ways this supply of favour can go on; it always has its start in God, i.e., God himself takes care of everything, what can serve man for maturation, and all these means and ways are supplies of Godís favour, which he has not deserved, but really are a gift from God. And so every means, which helps man to completion, can be seen as means of favour, and the spring of his love is inexhaustible. God will never stop to help men that they can mature spiritually, but his help is not always accepted, not always use is made of the means, which his infinite love sends to men; not always they can therefore become effective, because free will of man is not allowed to be eliminated, otherwise every gift of favour would have to guarantee a maturation, but which is always only then possible, when man is willing, to accept and utilize it.

And so also his divine word is also an immeasurable effective means of favour, which flows from the inexhaustible spring of his favour. The living water in its power is superb and certainly earns man soul maturity, but also only then, when the will of man is prepared to draw power from this water; when he refreshes and strengthens himself; when he believes in that power, which God wants to impart to him through his word. To be allowed to refresh oneself at the spring of his immeasurable love is truly a gift of favour, which is never to be spurned, for nothing else can give his soul such an impetus, nothing else than his divine word promotes its maturity and brings about the change of nature. And no restriction is imposed on you men at all; his measure of favour is unlimitedly at your disposal; you are allowed to be always certain of the divine help, you just must strive for it in free will, for it depends on you yourselves, whether the favour can also become effective. For that reason do not pass the spring of life; seek the way to the spring of living water, and so you have found it, rest their and receive the divine gift of favour, so that you have not lived on earth in vain, so that you mature at your soul and reach your aim on earth. Amen.
