Here something of today:

Hidden camera: How the sons of a demented person took a violent old people’s nurse to court

The more unusual a case, which the magistrates’ court Bremen dealt with on Wednesday. An old people’s nurse had treated a 84 year old so gruffly that she was reported by her sons. Denying was pointless: There was a video proof. The sons had secretly put up a camera in room 212.

On that evening, so the video made public by Radio Bremen shows, the nurse made the demented patient ready for the night and then addressed her imperiously: “Just take the paws away here!” She once pulled at her hair: “Stay seated, for heaven’s sake, ey!” The old person pitifully protests: “You beat me every time!” After that the curt answer: “Just tell some more tall stories.” When the night wear is finally pulled on, the nurse punches the woman with the flat of her hand before the forehead to bring her into lying position.

The demented person had already more often complained: “She always beats me.” But the sons were not sure. Was be the frail mother perhaps too sensitive? Or was she even tormented by war memories? To obtain certainty they finally put a video camera with movement trigger on the side table, which was camouflaged as a clock. Immediately in the first evening: direct hit.

So it must not always be the bully, who keeps under surveillance, the people who are normally watched can also turn the tables, and can also keep under surveillance and therefore defend themselves. A video camera in the hand of the man in the street can record a misdeed and publish it and can therefore expose the state.

But these seem to be more the exceptions. Compared to the surveillance of the state it just seems to be a small rebelling.

So there was a clock on the side table and that was just a camouflage. In reality it was video camera with movement trigger.

The sons put it there, not to spy on the mother, but on the nurse.

I have to think of Ms Merkel when she visited California and the then governor, Schwarzenegger, presented her with a product of his state, a smartphone. Such a gift can obviously be equipped as a spying machine, exactly like the clock.

When the father of Edward Snowden leaves his country, to visit his son in Russia, then he and his luggage could be so equipped with spying machines on his home airport that his government is constantly informed about everything, and that alone could be reason enough that his son keeps far away from him.

When one gets a present today, then one actually also has to reckon that it is about something completely different than it appears.

More and more it turns out that one cannot protect oneself from all the surveillance. One can avoid much, but the best protection is to simply behave always so that one arranges all deeds and all information so that there are no objections to them. In reality it has been so right from the beginning that all our doing and thinking gets recorded for ever, and this fact alone should already determine our behaviour.

But nevertheless we should not give away information unnecessarily, which could harm us or our co-workers. Almost always Jesus kept short-term plans for himself, simply so that they were not pestered every day by the pursuers of the temple, because then his disciples would not have been in a position to quietly think about his teachings but would have been in a defence attitude all the time. Jesus himself would have easily dealt with the daily attacks of the murderers, which were sent by the temple, and many of these opponents sent by the temple even became followers of his and the temple never saw them again.
