In the year 2007, as archbishop of Los Angeles, he negotiated for his church 660 million dollar compensation for 508 victims. Read more:

To force the church to hand over documents seems to bring success. The documents show the true face of the church.

But justice authorities only act because of the pressure exerted upon them. They do not act out of themselves.

The state, therefore the USA, does not take action against the Catholic Church of its own accord. First force has to be exerted upon the state. The state therefore participates in the hushing up and becomes guilty of complicity in it. The USA is just an example. Another one is Germany. Also there the state does as little as possible.

An opposing example is Australia. There last year something was started that will really bring effective action against the Catholic Church. A royal commission was brought into being.

The development in Los Angeles could now also force America to become active.

Perhaps the president of America changes his mind. In the first term of office the American government did not want to take action against the Catholic Church. Now the president no longer depends on voter support of the Catholics. Now he has more flexibility, see
2012 Dec 14 – This was Obama‘s last election; now he has more flexibility.

In his second term of office he will probably show more aggressiveness and this will then probably show in his fight against God, his actual aim, and he will start to uncover the most obvious abuses of the so-called representatives of God on Earth.

Here now some news of today:

Child abuse

Bishop prays for the victims and protects the culprits

The former US Archbishop Roger M. Mahoney says he prays every day for the victims of paedophile priests. But in his term of office he made sure that the culprits were spared themselves punishment.

It certainly would be wrong to claim Roger M. Mahony had not fought against the abuse of boys through Catholic priest at all. In the year 2007, as archbishop of Los Angeles, he negotiated for his church 660 million dollar compensation for 508 victims.

Now however documents have been submitted which seem to proof that the archbishop has hushed up criminal offence elements, protected culprits, did not encouraged victims to report and prevented police work.

When the statements and documents in 75 cases do not mislead, Mahony, since his takeover of office in Los Angeles in 1985, regularly occupied himself with taking priest, who attracted attention through abuse, out of the firing line.

After the agreement of the compensation deal of 2007 all names of church dignitaries were for example to be blacked out in documents.

A judge prevented this after appeals of two US media concerns. Mahony also transferred culprits to other federal states, usually to a Catholic therapy centre for paedophile priests in New Mexico.

The archbishop obviously also advised against secular therapists, which would have been obliged to report culprits to the police. Alone the interest of the care for his brothers, the culprits, he seemed to have at heart, not the victims. The proposal of a subordinate, to cover up all tracks of a culprit, Mahony noted: "Sounds all right – please proceed."

Confronted with the accusations, he denied having actively covered up the actions. Now it could perhaps be over with the tranquil retirement of the honourable Roger M. Mahony.
