2011 April 28
Millions mourn as avatar laid to rest. Read more:

This is my third webpage about Sai Baba. The first was three weeks ago,
2011 Apr 6 – Get well, Sai Baba
and the second two days ago,
2011 Apr 26 –Sai Baba died.

Today I again read about Sai Baba and will bring some excerpts at the end of this webpage.

But first I want to bring something about what I mentioned two days ago and that is about Supreme Bliss of Divine.

Here is a quote from
Prashanthi Vahini: Supreme Bliss of Divine.

The quote is the very first part of that book, it appears before Page 1:

To the Reader
We are today right in the vortex of a crisis in human history. Fear stalks mankind, from one end of the world to the other. Anxiety rules the heart of man and deprives him everywhere of sleep and rest and joy and laughter. Virtue has become rare and wickedness puts on respectable robes. In the family, in society, in the nation and in the comity of man, there is a pathetic cry for peace, Santhi! But, we need not despair; we have a Prashaanthi Nilayam, the Abode of Supreme Peace, where Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba has inaugurated the process of re-establishing Prashanthi! His Miraculous Powers proclaim Him a God; His Omniscience astounds the pundits of science; His Omnipresence is felt even across the seven seas; His Grace is available to all who cleanse their hearts with the tears of repentance. He is thirty six years of age now and He has promised to wear this human habiliment for well nigh sixty years more (1962). He teaches us the secret of Prashanthi, in conversation, by speeches, and through his letters, and writings. These last are to be found in the monthly magazine, published from the Prashanthi Nilayam, and this book is the English Translation of a series he wrote, on the subject, "Prashanthi". Study it with devotion, dear reader, and practise its lessons, for they are from the Avatar of the Lord Himself, come to retell the ancient wisdom, to men who have lost the way.

So this is the source where I got the year 2022 from which I mentioned two days ago.

Let me again give you a link to the spiritual background why I am dealing here with this subject:
Light beings obtaining the sonship of God?.

And also a link to reincarnation generally:
Creation - Part 4.
Read this webpage because it gives you much insight into the spiritual realm and that is where the thoughts of a Christian are supposed to dwell.

So now come some excerpts of what I read today:

Closure and the chance of obtaining a final darshan (blessing)! That is what devotees of spiritual leader Shri Sathya Sai Baba are praying for, as they descend on his abode in Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh, where his remains will be laid to rest today (Wednesday).

According to Indian astrologers, Sai Baba died at an auspicious time (Sapthami, Purvashada Nakshatram) of 7.40am on Sunday.

It would have been inauspicious if he died after 9.45am.

There are kilometres and kilometres of people waiting to go in to view Swami’s body. Also, devotees have to walk almost 10km before they reach the hall. Buses and cars are not being allowed into town.

Tens of thousands of devotees had gathered on the streets leading to the ashram waiting to view his body.

Devotees saddened by the death of Sai Baba are finding solace in his promise that he would return as Prema Sai, as disclosed in the website www.saibabaofindia.com.

Thousands of devotees from different parts of India and abroad yesterday (Tuesday) and on Monday thronged Puttaparthi, a town in Andhra Pradesh’s Anantapur district, to have their last ‘darshan’ (glimpse) of Sathya Sai Baba.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and ruling United Progressive Alliance chairperson Sonia Gandhi led the devotees to paying their last respects. The 85-year old spiritual guru died on Sunday, 28 days after he was admitted to the Sathya Sai Super Speciality Hospital with multi-organ dysfunction.

Sai Baba’s last rites will be peformed with full state honours this (Wednesday) morning.

The hopes of devotees who believed Sathya Sai Baba would live for 96 years, as he had predicted, came crashing down on Sunday when doctors announced he had died while undergoing treatment. But there were also those who said he would come back.

Sai Baba died at the age of 85 but some devotees still believe he will return to prove himself right while others claim he lived for 96 years as per lunar calendar.

Even when the doctors had termed his condition critical, his devotees, including former judges, police officers and even doctors, kept faith that he would recover and live for 96 years as he had predicted on several occasions.

Not ready to believe that Sai Baba is no more, the ardent devotees say he is in ‘yoga nidra’ or state of sleep.

The devotees also believe Sai Baba’s word that he will be reborn as Prema Sai Baba in the Mandya district of Karnataka. Sai Baba as a teenager had claimed to be a reincarnation of the famous Shirdi Sai Baba, who had reportedly stated before his death in 1918 that he would reappear in the then Madras Presidency eight years later.

According to Sai Baba’s teachings he was supposed to leave his material body at age 96 instead of 86.

He shortened his term of office, his material body, by 10 years. Sai Baba must have felt the work he was required to do in the world was complete.
