2010 June 8
The fast-moving generational, cultural and racial turnover. Read more:

The expression seizure of power is directly connected with a date. And that is the 30th of January 1933. In future a second date may be added to this and that would be the 20th of January 2009. Both seizures of power took place in completely democratic circumstances. The first one, in the year 1933, was introduced completely in accordance with the constitution by the president of the Reich, and the second one, in the year 2009, by the electorate.

The first one then went off at breakneck speed. Already the fact alone that the coalition party which provided the chancellor received the ministry of the interior was enough for the leading coalition party to simply eliminate political opponents by sending them to prison. This and all other things are now history.

The story which now unfolds will hardly happen in its details like then. But the principles will probably be similar.

An important date will be the first Tuesday in November 2012 when the election of the new president is due. It can be expected that the present one will then again compete. This date, the 6th of November 2012, is just a few weeks before another interesting date, the 21st of December 2012, which became famous through the Mayas. Should on this day, the summer solstice of the southern hemisphere, really an earth shaking event take place, the “end of the world,” then this would be a right opportunity for the newly elected president to initiate a more direct seizure of power. And then also a general support of the population is to be expected, and not just of the population of the United States, but also of great parts of the world population.

At the moment the party of the president seems to have reached a low with the electorate. A year ago I read an article about the feelings of many Americans towards their president, in which expressions like the following appeared:

„The Obama Haters’ Silent Enablers.”

“ … a rise in hate-filled, “amped up” Americans who are “taking the extra step and getting the gun put.””

“ … e-mails from viewers had “become more and more frightening” in recent months, dating back to the election season. From Wednesday alone, he ”could read a hundred” messages spewing “hate that’s not based in fact,” much of it about Barack Obama and some of it sharing the museum gunman’s canard that the president was not a natural born citizen.”

“ … the mounting fury of Obama haters. What is this fury about? In his scant 145 days in office, the new president has not remotely matched the Bush record in deficit creation. Nor has he repealed the right to bear arms or exacerbated the wars he inherited. He has tried more than his predecessor ever did to reach across the aisle. But none of that seems to matter. A sizable minority of Americans is irrationally fearful of the fast-moving generational, cultural and racial turnover Obama embodies — indeed, of the 21st century itself. That minority is now getting angrier in inverse relationship to his popularity with the vast majority of the country. Change can be frightening and traumatic, especially if it’s not change you can believe in.”

“ … there have been indications that this rage could spiral out of control.”

“… seriously suggested in April that Republicans should stop calling Obama a socialist because “it no longer has the negative connotation it had 20 years ago, or even 10 years ago.” Anuzis pushed “fascism” instead, because “everybody still thinks that’s a bad thing.” He didn’t seem to grasp that “fascism” is nonsensical as a description of the Obama administration or that there might be a risk in slurring a president with a word that most find “bad” because it evokes a mass-murderer like Hitler.”

“ … who accused Obama in The Washington Times of engaging “in the most consequential bait-and-switch since Adolf Hitler duped Neville Chamberlein.””

“If this isn’t a handy rationalization for another lone nutjob to take the law into his own hands against a supposed terrorism supporter, what is? Any such nutjob can easily grab a weapon. Gun enthusiasts have been on a shopping spree since the election, with some areas of our country reporting percentage sales increases in the mid-to-high double digits, recession be damned.”

“ … devout wish was to “bring an end to this false prophet Obama.” This kind of rhetoric, with its pseudo-Scriptural call to action, is toxic. It is getting louder each day of the Obama presidency.”

So that was a year ago and now it does not seem to have changed much and the reports say, the president’s party may lose the election in November this year.

The article gave nice indications how the Americans feel about their president, the ones who support their president, like the writer of that article, and the ones who oppose him, like the people he writes about.

In one section the writer expresses this thinking about the president: “… the fast-moving generational, cultural and racial turnover Obama embodies — indeed, of the 21st century itself. That minority is now getting angrier in inverse relationship to his popularity with the vast majority of the country. Change can be frightening and traumatic, especially if it’s not change you can believe in.”

“The fast-moving generational, cultural and racial turnover” also happened in the year 1933, it was just not called change, they then had a different terminology.

But the decisive election for the president himself will only be two years later. And then things might have changed.

Should he win the second election it might be much easier to complete a seizure of power. He does not have to worry about another election and about adhering to constitutional rules. And the political situation might be such that everyone cries for a strong, capable leader. And when the Americans reject him, or even do no longer exist, then the rest of the world, what might be left of it, might need him badly.

So for the next two years there is need for a situation where he can excel so that he can be successful 2012. If the Americans are not convinced by his day to day activities, they might be won over by a daring military action.
